Brad Smith

Growing up in Summerside, PEI, Brad has always been a Wildcats Fan. The Montreal Rocket only became the PEI Rocket in 2003 so the closet Q team for Brad was the Moncton Wildcats.

Last year Brad played Midget AAA for the Charlottetown Islanders. His team finished first in their division and moved on to finish third in the Atlantics. The difference he finds with Midget hockey to Major Junior is definitely speed and the physical part of the game - the guys are a lot bigger.

Brad’s billet family has 3 sons, 2 of whom play hockey. Brad goes to some of their practices and offers a little advice now and then.

From home Brad misses his family, friends, and definitely his PEI potatoes!

If hockey doesn’t pan out for Brad he would like to become a Phys Ed teacher or Math teacher as his second choice. He excelled in math in school.

“Smitty “ as he’s called loves hockey but also enjoys baseball, soccer, and golf. His favorite NHL team is the Colorado Avalanche, with his favorite player being Joe Sakic, who also wears jersey # 19.
