Wildcats & Booster Club Activities 07/08

 

Offering assistance to the many activities that the Moncton Wildcats Hockey Club participates in is one way the Booster Club supports the Hockey Club.

The first activity is Training Camp, which is held in August. It is the beginning of the hockey season for the players; a time to renew old friendships and meet new team mates. Registration day is held at the Tim Horton's 4 Ice Centre. The team is chosen during training camp. This is where the players show the coaches that they have what it takes to play for the Moncton Wildcats.

The Booster Club helps out with anything that needs done. They drive the players who have no vehicles, run errands for anything that the team may need and for the coaching staff. They also sell 50/50 tickets.

Street Hockey and Meet the Team BBQ September 07

The Wildcats Hockey Club organizes and hosts a street hockey tournament for kids from three different age groups.

The Wildcats participate in the event and are later officially introduced.

There is free BBQ and cake for all.

The Booster Club helps out with anything that needs to be done.

Skate with the Cats is an annual event held after the last home game before Christmas.This eventis open to all season ticket holders and it is your chance to get to know your Wildcats.

The Booster Club helps out with the hot chocolate and snacks that are provided for all.

The skills competition is held in January where the players show what they are made off.

The last two years, a minor hockey team was asked to take part as well.

The awards banquet was organized and hosted by the Wildcats Hockey Club, this year.

The Excellence award was added to the roster this year. It is given to the person who goes above and beyond.

This year, the award went to Serge LeBlanc the Wildcats' equipment manager.

The banquet was held in March at the Capital Theatre in front of a large crowd.

It was a memorable night filled with pride for the Moncton Wildcats Hockey Club.
